Mixed Behavior Foundation was founded by husband-and-wife team Alonzo (Tae) and Sasha Jackson, whose lived experiences shaped a shared commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for individuals, families, and communities too often overlooked or underserved.
Their experiences with adversity, family, parenthood, and navigating systems gave them a firsthand understanding of the barriers many people face—and reinforced their belief that meaningful change requires more than programs. It requires relationships, consistency, access, and people willing to walk alongside you.
As parents of a blended family of seven children, Sasha and Alonzo have built Mixed Behavior Foundation with family at its core. Their children have grown alongside the organization, witnessing its evolution from an idea rooted in purpose into a growing community-based organization. Today, members of their family also contribute to the work, making MBF not only an organization they founded, but a legacy their family is helping build.
What began with two people determined to turn experience into purpose has grown into a team of professionals, mentors, facilitators, partners, and family members working to create pathways toward healing, stability, opportunity, and long-term success.
For Sasha and Alonzo, the work remains deeply personal. Mixed Behavior Foundation represents what can happen when lived experience becomes purpose—and when a family chooses to use what they’ve learned to help other families move forward.
Together, they’re building more than programs. They’re building something their children and their communities can carry forward.

Since 2020, Alonzo and Sasha Jackson have developed original programs and initiatives through Mixed Behavior Foundation, shaped by lived experience and the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

ONE SHARED PURPOSE
Mental wellness, mentorship, athletics, creative expression, workforce development, leadership, and community support.

Mixed Behavior Foundation exists to help people reconnect with who they are, recognize their potential, and move toward what’s possible.
Through culturally responsive, trauma-informed programs and community-based services, we walk alongside youth, adults, and families with the guidance, resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to build stability, strengthen well-being, and move forward.
From prevention and early intervention to care coordination, reentry, workforce development, wellness, creative expression, and mentorship, we meet people where they are while helping create pathways toward where they want to go.
What's Your Purpose?

We envision communities where people are supported, seen, and given the space to grow into who they are meant to be. A future where healing is possible, opportunities are accessible, and purpose is not just discovered, it's lived.

We believe everyone has purpose—even when life, circumstances, or setbacks make it difficult to see. We help people reconnect with their strengths and what’s possible.
We show up as we are and create space for others to do the same. No masks. No judgment. Just honest connection, trust, and respect.
We don’t just show up once. We stay connected, follow through, and build the relationships that meaningful change requires.
We believe people thrive when they feel seen, supported, and connected. We build with our communities—not simply for them.
We believe change is possible. We create environments where people can heal, learn, grow, and define what moving forward looks like for themselves.
We work to remove barriers and connect people with the resources, opportunities, and support they need to move forward.
