I Choose ME is an innovative enrichment program designed for students in grades K-12, aiming to promote mental health advocacy, positive relationship building, and holistic well-being through creative arts, movement, and athletics. This comprehensive program provides a safe and inclusive space for students to explore their emotions, develop resilience, and cultivate a healthy lifestyle.
1. Mental Health Advocacy: Raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and empower students to become mental health advocates within their community.
2. Positive Relationship Building: Foster meaningful connections, empathy, and supportive relationships among students, staff, and mentors.
3. Creative Arts Engagement: Encourage self-expression, creativity, and healing through various artistic mediums such as painting, writing, music, drama, and dance.
4. Movement and Athletics: Promote physical fitness, stress reduction, teamwork, and self-confidence through sports, yoga, and other physical activities.

This group of young ladies created their own ”I Choose ME” affirmations to recite everyday as a reminder of their dedication to their own individual journeys, and to inspire one another to keep growing.
The No Days Off program develops student-athletes who are not only physically fit and skilled in their chosen sport but are also mentally tough, emotionally resilient, and academically successful. The program will provide a supportive environment that fosters personal growth, leadership development, and social responsibility.

Project Heavy empower youth and young adults impacted by mental and emotional trauma surrounding violence in the community to take control of their narratives through the arts. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment for them to heal, grow, and connect with others who share similar experiences. Through our programming, we aim to challenge negative stereotypes and stigmas associated with mental and emotional trauma and promote resilience and empowerment among young people.

Project Heavy- I Choose ME series focuses on a culminating documentary that follows the lives of young people who have been impacted by the mental and emotional trauma surrounding violence in the community. That includes domestic violence, incarceration, youth violence, and system impact. Participants are taken through a curriculum that cultivates a space where they can have the audacity to dream, create, write, film, and brainstorm different ways they can tell their story.
