Sasha Jackson, a Southern California native, is an Author, Aspiring Screenwriter, and Film Creator. Her journey of personal healing and transformation has fueled her dedication to inspire and uplift broken families, while shining a light on the path to self-discovery.
In Sasha Jackson's early years, she faced significant challenges due to her mother's involvement in white-collar crime, resulting in her spending multiple stents in Federal Prison. These experiences had a profound impact on Sasha, leaving her with a mix of emotions.
The limited opportunities to spend time with her mother created a bittersweet longing for her presence, as she yearned for a deeper connection. This absence of maternal presence caused emotional trauma, leading to a sense of disconnection not only within Sasha's family but also within herself.
On the other hand, Sasha's relationship with her father never truly developed due to his absence. Consequently, Sasha had to learn to navigate life without his presence. While Sasha received abundant love and support from her grandparents, and uncles, the absence of both parents left her with an indescribable emptiness, a feeling of diminished self-worth, and a sense of abandonment.
Despite these profound challenges, Sasha's resilience and determination have shaped her journey. As a co-founder of the Mixed Behavior Foundation Non-Profit Organization, Sasha brings a unique perspective and personal experiences to her work in advocating for mental health, violence prevention, and community healing. Through her own journey of healing and growth, Sasha is dedicated to making a positive impact and providing support to others facing similar struggles.
Sasha's personal story serves as a testament to her strength and unwavering commitment to creating a more compassionate and understanding society. She strives to ensure that individuals who have experienced emotional trauma and feelings of abandonment find solace, healing, and a sense of belonging within their community.
Through the lens of her own struggles, Sasha was inspired to create the program, Project Heavy where she aims to empower individuals to reclaim their narratives, find solace in their own stories, and discover the power within themselves to overcome adversity.
